Behind the Brand

When Delhi Met Own Adaa

Own Adaa | Behind the Brand

Some moments remind you why you started.

The Claridges Diwali Exhibition 2025 was one of them.

The Evening

Under the warm glow of fairy lights and floral arches, the The Claridges Diwali Exhibition brought together some of Delhi's finest emerging designers under one beautiful showcase. Handcrafted fashion, intricate embroidery, vibrant textiles — and in the middle of it all, Own Adaa.

We arrived with two collections — OA Classics and the Chitra Smart Casuals — and a simple belief: women deserve clothing that feels as good as it looks.

The Conversations That Stayed

From the moment women stepped into our stall, something shifted.

They touched the fabrics. Held dupattas up to the light. Tried on pieces and styled them their own way. Some came back with friends. Others called their daughters over.

"This is exactly what I've been looking for."

"Finally, something beautiful and wearable."

"This feels like me."

Those three lines said everything.

The Pieces That Found Their People

The Lavanya Rose Kurta Set — dusty rose Mul Chanderi with an asymmetrical embroidered yoke and a cut-out neckline — struck exactly the right balance between contemporary and considered.

The Nilambari Sapphire Kurta Set drew women in for its quiet elegance — sapphire blue Modal Satin with patched golden floral motifs that didn't need to announce themselves.

The Taamra Brocade Tulip Set answered every where is that from — rich coral brocade, gold butti motifs, silk-blend tulip pants. Festive without trying too hard.

The Bleu Marine Set proved that smart casuals could hold their own in a room full of festive wear — a navy cotton linen kurti with heritage motifs and printed tulip pants that felt polished without being overdressed.

And then there was the Beige Meadow Glow Dupatta. A tissue silk dupatta with multicolour thread embroidery and sequin shimmer — the piece that stopped women mid-step. One bride-to-be picked it up, held it to the light, and said it best:

"A beautiful golden dupatta — with all pastel shades, which will go with everything. The style is very different. Own Adaa knows exactly what we want."

She said it better than we ever could.

Who We Met

We sold out of several of our favourite styles. But more than the numbers, we met the women we created Own Adaa for — women who walked in knowing what they didn't want, and left knowing exactly what they did.

That kind of clarity is everything.

What Comes Next

This was just the beginning.

The collections are live. The next chapter is already in the making. Stay tuned — and in the meantime, everything that found its people at The Claridges is waiting to find you.

To every woman who stopped by, supported us, or discovered Own Adaa for the first time — thank you. You reminded us that when women dress for themselves, they shine differently.

And that's exactly the kind of fashion we're here to create.
